Welcome to Your

Singing Future

Ann Stewart is a mezzo-soprano with a background uniquely fitted for Northern Virginia students. Ann has enjoyed time as a professional soloist as well as singing with the Washington Chorus (Grammy Award 1999). With a decade as a junior and senior high chorus teacher, years as substitute in Fairfax and Loudoun counties, Ann has a strong background in classroom choral education.

Because of her high expectations for vocal excellence, she's adjudicated solo and choral events, worked vocal master classes, and guest conducted for All-District events. With an MA in Film/Television, two award-winning novels, her many years with Main Street Theater, Songbirds Director, ten years directing musical theatre at Harmony MS, and currently vocal director for musicals at Woodgrove HS, Ann successfully incorporates storytelling into performances and help students in their musical theatre pursuits. Many of Ann's students are performing professionally locally or in NYC.

Note from Ann:  "Now that my two daughters have graduated UVA, I have more time to teach and invest into the lives of my other kids, those students in my studio!"
